Mirabilis Jalapa
Mirabilis Jalapa are also known as The Marvel of Peru or with their more common name, Four O'Clock plants. They received this nickname because of their pattern of opening their flowers in the late afternoon. Flowers remain open until the following morning and on cloudy days may not close again. Mirabilis is perennial but is usually grown as a half-hardy annual. It produces bushy plants with masses of delightfully fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers. Mirabilis blooms all summer long!
