PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Cherry tomato Zuckertraube is also commonly known by its English name Sugar Grape. True to name, its delicious fruits look like a cross between cherries and grapes!

Zuckertraube boasts a strong growth, high yield and is an early variety that bears its first ripe fruits at the end of June.

Fruits are true red, aromatic and sweet, ideal for snacking straight from the plant, using fresh or for flavorful dips and sauces. Fruits grow on clusters and reach approximately 15-20mm in diameter, making this cocktail tomato slightly larger than other varieties.

This red vine tomato is an open-pollinated, German variety. Save its seeds in autumn, and sow them next year.

All our bio tomato seeds are Non-GMO and EU Certified Organic. Buy your Organic Tomato Seeds with Fontana Seeds for delivery anywhere in Europe.

Growing Organic Cherry Tomatoes from Seeds

GREENHOUSE CULTURE:
To grow in heated greenhouses sow January onwards, in a temperature of 16-18°C. Transplant into small pots. Plant out in large pots, growing bags, or into a soil border at 45cm spacing. Pinch out side shoots regularly and when in flower tap or shake plants daily to aid setting. For growing in unheated greenhouses, sow in warmth, from March onwards. Plant late April-early May. Harvest mid August-mid October.

OUTDOOR CULTURE:
Sow in trays or pots indoors March-April and harden off the plants before planting 45cm apart in early June. Choose a warm, sheltered position.

Both indoor and outdoors, these plants like being staked in order to encourage upward growth and room for bearing fruit. Harvest throughout the summer. Harvest all of the fruit before the first frost in Autumn. Pinch out the main growth when four good trusses have set.
