The Lathyrus Coronation Mix boasts an array of colors, including pink, white, red, lilac, and purple-blue, all with the classic delightful fragrance of the sweet pea.

It is a prolific bloomer, producing an abundance of flowers from late June right through to September. These sweet peas are self-climbing vines that will happily sprawl over trellises or netting, suitable for both gardening novices and enthusiasts alike.
How to grow Lathyrus Seeds
Sowing Indoors (for earlier blooms):
Sow indoors in pots or trays between late January and April. Use a good quality seed-starting mix, sow seeds about 2 cm deep. You can sow a few seeds per pot and thin them later, or sow just one seed per pot for individual plants.
Keep the soil moist but not soggy during germination and place the pots in a sunny location with a temperature around 18-20°C . Seeds should germinate within 14-21 days.
Once seedlings have their first true leaves and are around 5-10 cm tall, harden them off for 10-14 days before transplanting them outdoors.
Sowing Outdoors:
Sow directly outdoors in your garden bed in spring, ideally between April and May, after the danger of frost has passed. Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil. You can enrich the soil with some compost before sowing. Sow seeds about 2-3 cm deep and space them about 15 cm apart. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. Seeds should germinate within 14-21 days with warm soil temperatures.
