How to grow Chard Fireworks Seeds

Planting: Sow seeds directly outdoors from March to August for a summer harvest. Or, start seeds indoors 10-12 weeks before the last frost.

Chard 'Fireworks' thrives in a location bathed in full sun, although it can tolerate some partial shade. Before planting, ensure your soil is well-drained and rich in organic matter.

Space  roughly 1 centimeter deep and maintain a spacing of 30 centimeters apart within each row. Remember to maintain a similar spacing of 30 centimeters between rows as well.

If your seedlings emerge too densely, simply thin them to the recommended spacing to allow for proper growth and development of your individual chard plants.

Care: Consistent moisture is crucial for healthy chard. Water your plants regularly to maintain consistently moist soil, but avoid overwatering.

Applying a layer of mulch around the base of your plants can be a big help to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature.

Harvesting Your Chard: Chard grows quickly! You can start harvesting outer leaves about 4 weeks after planting, once they reach a desirable size.

To ensure a continuous harvest throughout the growing season, regularly pick leaves. This encourages new growth and keeps your chard plant productive.

Use a sharp knife or scissors to carefully cut individual leaves at the base of the plant when harvesting.
